2023 is the year of the rabbit. The rabbit is known to be gentle, quiet, tame, tender and kind, yet it moves quickly and is very clever.

When I think of rabbits I think of the masses of them bouncing and darting through our field, the baby one bedded down in the wildflower patch. I remember how startled the bunnies seemed the day we mowed the brush in fall, coming out, pausing, taking notice, almost turning their noses up at what we’d done.

After the roaring fierceness of 2022, with its tiger energy, I’m looking forward to, like the baby bunny, embracing a bed in the wildflower fields, myself.

To the lavender field! To the moon! And to the new year… Come celebrate!
