Scarpetta // Deer Mountain Inn & ROME

It’s so great when good food comes to town? Can we call it a come away instead of a pop up

No, but still, come away…

Delighted to have shared the evening with the lovely folks providing more than exceptional Italian fare, here and there, but also rich, and might I say, nostalgic, real deal hospitality. I’m so tired of just good vibes put on by some out-of-building investors- I’m extremely burned out on careless service and soulless food.

When I eat out- I want to feel touched, cared for, and nourished. I want my senses inspired, and warmed. I want all life and gratitude affirmed, a meal that needs no prayer prior, because it is prayer. I wanna feel wined and dined by the nuance. And, that night, I was!

We had the chance to chat about all these unspoken or perhaps unnoticed details that seem more and more off map while filling our glasses with tender juicy wines, in the golden flicker of candlelight at Deer Mountain Inn… fill my cup, I drink up.

Belly and spirit full, I am tucked in on a pillow of beet filled pasta still dreaming of more ways we can enrich life, with life.
